Original Breaks
Love to the World! This week must begin with a seriously DOPE bboy battle track. We’ve seen the floor get nasty to this one, coming from Central Florida’s own Brain Reward:
Imperial March Remix – Brain Reward
This is one of the most memorable tracks from any given battle that’s taken place in Florida in the last few years. When this song came on, sh*t went cray. Brain Reward is the dynamic duo of DJ Cyber and M-Chill, based in Orlando.
Well-known from the legendary Down to Earth Mondays at AKA Lounge, hosted by Vinny, these boys have become legends not only for their original tracks, but they’re also in high demand as battle DJs.
Check out some of their older tracks here.
This next track is severely sick! From the very, very funky Mr. President from overseas in Europe.
The Best Is Yet to Come – Mr. President
This next ILL jammy was submitted via our Facebook page by Argentina’s Inmortal Evolucion Crew, who we featured on last week’s edition.
Find Mr. President on iTunes! And check out Inmortal Evolucion Crew on Facebook here.
Next up is another Florida legend, the infamous FUSIK:
On the Fly & Battlefield – FUSIK
We’ve featured FUSIK before on the Bboysounds Weekly, and rightly so. They’re back with a double feature with snippets of two DOPE tracks!
FUSIK is one of the DOPEst bands in bboy music right now. We’ve seen them live at battles and they rock the floor with killer percussion and the funkiest line-up. From FUSIK’s website:
Fusik (few-sick) Is a funky five piece from Ft. Lauderdale Florida. But what’s FUSIK’s sound you say? Throw Jimmi Hendrix, Santana, and James Brown in a blender and that’s what you would get (FUSIK a true FUSION of MUSIC). Ask anyone who has been to their live shows and they will tell you Fusik can keep the party moving with their high energy beats, funky rhythms, and smoking solos. Not to mention the Bboys coming through breaking it down at every show. If you are lucky you can also see some guest dance appearances by some of Fusik’s own Band members!

Video Selection
Once again, here’s the DOPE preview for Red Bull BC One, featured in last week’s edition:
Red Bull BC One All Stars rock Rio de Janeiro
This was sent to us by Nika Kramer at We B*Girlz. Peace to German Bboys and Bgirls!
Make sure to peep the upcoming Red Bull BC One United Arab Emirates Cypher! Check it out on Facebook.
This next video was posted on our Facebook page by Alex Red. Thanks for the submission!
Another Day in Life – Bboy Jake
DOPE music, well done!
Here’s another one that was submitted by Fadhel Naija via our Facebook page:

Weekly Classics
Shakin – The Apples
This was posted on our Facebook page by Michael Threatt. Thanks for the many, many DOPE tracks Michael!
The Apples is a sick band from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Israel. From The Guardian:
“With four horns, bass, drums and turntables, their oddly effective mix of instrumental hip-hop and soul-jazz got the crowd dancing and jumping, while giving listeners plenty to latch on to.”
More info on Wikipedia.
Bustin Loose – Chuck Brown
We featured the mighty Chuck Brown & Soul Searchers last week with the Bboy smash “Blow Your Whistle.” Later in the week, we were very sad to learn of Chuck Brown’s death. Along with Queen of Disco Donna Summers and Robin Gibb of the funky Bee Gees, it was a very disappointing week in music. Much love to the bands and families of these legendary artists and rest in peace.
Honoring Chuck Brown, here is his classic “Bustin Loose.”
