Leaders of the New School dropped this Bboy Hip-Hop jam “The International Zone Coaster” back in 1991 on the album A Future Without a Past:
Largely known for being the group that launched the success of Busta Rhymes, Leaders of the New School (LONS) put down many a DOPE track and are revered by Hip-Hop heads.
As one of the Classic groups that rapped positivity, members Charlie Brown, Dinco D (@dincod), Busta Rhymes (@bustarhymes), and Cut Monitor Milo were associated with conscious acts like A Tribe Called Quest and Public Enemy, as well as being down with the Universal Zulu Nation.
The group also shined on the single “Scenario” alongside A Tribe Called Quest, which has remained a Hip-Hop standard and an one of the DOPEst party tracks of all time.
“The International Zone Coaster” sampled the drum line from Ike & Tina Turner’s “Cussin’, Cryin’, and Carryin’ On”.
