Lead Us to the End – Quantic Soul Orchestra feat. Noelle Scaggs

Quantic Soul Orchestra and Noelle Scaggs collaborated on the extremely funky jam “Lead Us to the End” for the 2007 album “Tropidelico.”

“Lead Us to the End” is one example of Quantic, (@quanticmusic) aka Will Holland, taking it to straight-up funkytown, most pronounced in the unbelievable, yet brief, break at the 4:28 mark, which I was particularly fond of juggling for the cipher.

And of course, the lovely Noelle Scaggs (@noellescaggs) of Fitz & the Tantrums (@fitzandtantrums) brings the soulful sound to the table, making “Lead Us to the End” one my favorite tracks off “Tropidelico” which was recorded in Colombia, where Quantic calls home.

Some background on “Tropidelico” from Amazon:

In search of the next development in his musical odyssey, Will “Quantic” Holland re-located to Colombia in 2007, and set to work on seeking out and recording with some of the older, authentic Latin American musicians who had so inspired him in his musical career to date. The fourth album, ‘Tropidelico,’ recorded in Colombia, was released in October 2007 to hugely positive reactions from the press and fans alike, and this period saw a rapturous review in The Independent, a feature on Quantic in The Guardian and all sorts of other high profile acknowledgement.
